V-grooving, also known as V-cutting, is a process for cutting grooves in flat sheet metal and serves as an auxiliary step to shearing and bending. After V-grooving, the sheet has clear reference lines for shearing and bending; following the bend the fillet can be removed to achieve a true right-angle bend.
V-grooving is an auxiliary forming operation: at the intended bend line special equipment and tooling cut a V-shaped groove so the material can be bent more easily and the outer bend radius is minimized. The bent part is then formed on a press brake or manually. The V-groove’s depth, width, and angle are determined and controlled by the cutter geometry and the cutting/feed depth during the grooving operation.

Vertical structure
The vertical V cut machine adopts a frame structure and a low-alloy, high-strength structural steel worktable. The integrated bottom film is formed in one go and can be processed on the mirror plate without leaving any marks; The whole machine is tempered in an electric furnace to eliminate welding stress, and is clamped and formed in one go through an imported CNC machining center to ensure that each installation surface is parallel and perpendicular; Sandblasting treatment ensures coating quality; During operation, the knife holder remains stationary, and the board is driven to move by the feed. The groove depth and distance are precisely controlled, resulting in excellent overall rigidity, durability, and stability.

Alloy blade holder
The vertical V cutting machine adopts an integrated tool holder and a fully automatic self-lubricating system. The tool holder moves up and down synchronously for lubrication, effectively reducing friction loss and extending service life; Unique three blade distribution design, evenly distributing cutting amount, reducing workpiece deformation; Optional micro cooling device can further extend tool life and reduce production costs; The universal tool clamping interface supports the exchange of white steel tools and alloy tools, meeting various processing needs and assisting in high-precision, efficient and stable production.
Workbench surface
The vertical grooving machine adopts a carbon tool steel worktable. After high-frequency quenching, the hardness reaches 55-60HRC, much higher than stainless steel, effectively preventing scratches and deformation, ensuring the flatness of the worktable is ≤± 0.03mm, improving V-groove accuracy and extending equipment life. Equipped with dense pressure feet and hydraulic system, the clamping force is stable and reliable.


High precision transmission
The vertical V cut machine is equipped with a full servo motor and planetary gearbox, which provides high torque, high precision, low energy consumption, and rapid response; The crossbeam transmission adopts a double guide rail structure of grinding helical gears and high-precision helical racks, with stable and efficient variable frequency speed regulation, achieving high-speed chip feed and stable processing, and meeting various processing needs, significantly improving production efficiency.
